Off-the-Shelf Version

While the vast majority of our clients ask us to come to their location to deliver the OJT system, during 2002 a few asked to buy the materials and learn to use them through telephone training. To our surprise, this has worked well. Several factors enabled it to work.
  •  The people who were to learn to teach OJT trainers very experienced
     instructor trainers.

  •  Those instructor trainers were very familiar with using exercises composed
     of triads.

  •  We spent between eight and ten hours on the telephone reviewing the
     instructor guide together. At that point they felt ready to teach a pilot course.

  •  The first course they taught consisted of only three trainees.
  •  Their trainees were experienced instructors who could give useful feedback.

The course these instructors learned to teach is the OJT Trainer Course. To do this, they receive a set of the materials descibed and illustrated on the training materials page.
