Mohammad Jassem Bu-Rahmah
Mohammad Jassem Bu-Rahmah

Mohammad J. Bu-Rahmah is a senior manager of human resource development in an oil company in Kuwait. He has worked in the petroleum refinery industry for nearly 15 years.

He holds a B.S. degree in computer science from a U.S. university and has completed advanced coursework and certifications in DACUM job analysis process, structured on-the-job training (S-OJT), instructional design, and project management through the Center on Education and Training for Employment www.cete.org at the Ohio State University. He is a member of ASTD and ASTD's Global Network.


He has worked extensively with major consultants in the field including Ronald Jacobs www.coe.ohio-state.edu/rjacobs/ and Robert Norton www.dacumohiostate.com/.

Mohammad has particular expertise in developing and managing S-OJT programs for high-skilled technical and administrative employees, such as engineers and senior technicians. He has performed or managed every phase, including:

  • Performing initial performance analysis.
  • Developing the scope of work.      
  • Conducting job and task analyses.
  • Designing the process and instruments.
  • Developing training materials and evaluation instruments.
  • Training the trainers, and delivering instruction to employees.
  • Following up with program evaluation.
  • Converting the paper-based training to an intranet delivery system.

He has managed to completion numerous projects that have led to documented performance outcomes including reduced training times, increased employee flexibility, improved competence, and reduced personnel costs.

He has experience with the ISO 10015 Quality of Training standard, which has become the international benchmark for designing training programs.

He is fluent in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) which enables him to interact effectively with diverse project clients and stakeholders in the private and public sectors.
